18 października klasy szóste pojechały na wycieczkę do Czarnolasu, Zwolenia i Janowca. Oto jak tę wyprawę i miejsca opisali po angielsku....
On Wednesday, 18th October, the eldest classes from my school went to a school trip. The weather was good, it was cold but sunny. The trip lasted one day and we visited Czarnolas, Zwoleń, Janowiec.
After a comfortable travel by bus we did some sightseeing. We saw a beautiful and old house of Jan Kochanowski, a great Polish poet. Czarnolas is an interesting place, where Kochanowski's family lived. We saw a garden with Kochanowski's daughter's coffin and some rooms in his house. I liked Kochanowski's studio best. He wrote a lot of beautiful poems there.
Then we traveled to Zwoleń where Kochanowski lived and we saw his family's tombs in a beautiful Renaissance chapel. There was also a big monument of Jan Kochanowski.
Next, we visited Janowiec with its fantastic castle and a fine cottage. We admired a beautiful view of the Vistula river and green fields.
We came back home late. In my opinion, the trip was very good and we learnt a lot of new things.

Czarnolas is a beautiful village in Mazowsze province. It is very famous because it belonged to the Kochanowski family for a century. It was there that great Polish poet - Jan Kochanowski wrote his most memorable works, for example "Odprawa posłów grackich" and "Treny". Czarnolas is an interesting place to visit. In Jan Kochanowski Museum there are a lot of objects that remind us of the poet, for example manuscrips, paintings and sculptures. The museum is surrounded by a lovely park and in front of it stands a wonderful statue of Jan Kochanowski. Near the museum there is also a beautiful chapel.
